Privacy statement on the protection of personal data processed through the FEAST training platform
EUROCONTROL protects your personal data in accordance with the EUROCONTROL Regulation on Personal Data Protection adopted by the Permanent Commission and published in 2024.
1. What is the FEAST training platform? What data do we collect, store and process about you?
The FEAST training platform has been designed by EUROCONTROL to help applicants prepare for a test session at one of the FEAST user organisations. To get access to the training platform and use the tests, you need to create your personal training.
In this context, EUROCONTROL collects and processes the following data:
- Registration data: are biographical data that you enter during the account creation. Registration data include your name, gender, date of birth, country of residence, e-mail address and the reason for using the training platform;
- Test Data: is the personal data you generate through the use of the training platform in response to the test questions and tasks. Test data include the number of correct/incorrect items, the number of skipped items, the test time, etc.
EUROCONTROL relies on your consent as the legal basis to collect and processing your personal data. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by following the information provided below at point 5. Please also refer further in this privacy notice for more information about how we use your personal data and your rights.
2. Who is your data disclosed to? Who has access to your data?
Your data is processed and stored in electronic format. Your personal data will be treated confidentially and only disclosed to:
- FEAST Service team members in EUROCONTROL.
- Ix Technologies B.V., the technical supplier hosting the FEAST training platform.
This personnel abides by statutory, and when required, additional confidentiality agreements (see further section 8).
3. How long is your data kept?
Your personal data is kept as long as your account is active. Your account becomes inactive either through an account deletion or through automatic expiration 6 months after the account was created. Once your account is inactive, your registration data will be deleted. Test data will be anonymised with the deletion of the account and stored for a further 3 years.
4. What are your rights under the EUROCONTROL Data Protection Regulation?
You have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data using the “Account settings” tab in the platform. Access and profile updates are immediate.
You can remove your personal data from the FEAST training platform by deleting your account. By deleting your account, you will also terminate all services and access rights. You have the right to request additional information about the handling of your personal data by contacting [email protected].
5. How can you withdraw consent you have given to EUROCONTROL?
You may withdraw your consent at any moment by using the “Account settings” tab in the platform and deleting your account. Once we have received notification that you have withdrawn your consent, we will no longer process your information for the purpose or purposes you originally agreed to – see also point 4 above. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
6. What do we do to avoid misuse or unauthorised access to data concerning you?
EUROCONTROL is committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure EUROCONTROL has put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information collected from you.
7. What safeguards do we apply when we transfer your data to third parties?
EUROCONTROL has put in place appropriate safeguards to protect the data processed by Ix Technologies B.V., the technical supplier hosting the FEAST training platform.
No other transfer of data takes place. In particular, your data will not be transferred to any Air Navigation Service Provider or ATC training institute you have applied to or may want to apply to in the future.
